At the end of August, r/bodegacats is getting a physical address in New York.
Reddit’s first IRL pop-up, r/bodega, runs Saturday and Sunday, August 29 and 30. The build is styled as a bodega, and r/bodegacats will have its own section on the shelves. Anyone with a Reddit account can get in free.

What will be inside
Reddit says every attendee gets a Snoo plushie. Totes, mugs, stickers, postcards, and cold drinks will also be available. The deli counter will serve special menu items built around some of New York’s top Reddit “subs.”
Meowdani is the event’s official bodega cat. Members of r/bodegacats chose the name, and Reddit says the name and other ideas from the community will appear in the display.
On Sunday, August 30, from 9:00 to 10:00 PM, anything left in the build will be free for attendees to take home.
Why r/bodegacats belongs there
r/bodegacats has grown because people keep noticing the cats in neighborhood stores, taking a photo, and sharing it. The subreddit turns those separate encounters into a running record of working cats across New York and beyond.
